Golden Cross Resources (ASX: GCR) is participating in the drilling of ground electromagnetic anomalies at its Mulga Tank nickel joint venture with Impact Minerals (ASX: IPT) in Western Australia.
The drill programme will test seven coincident electromagnetic and nickel-cobalt in-soil anomalies identified in E33/988 in which Impact recently acquired a 20% interest and has the right to earn a further 50%.
Recent further interpretation and modelling of the ground electromagnetic data had highlighted the possible geometry of the conductors and the strong coincidence with the soil geochemistry.
The 4,000 metre reverse circulation and diamond drilling program, which is in part funded by a $134,000 grant from the Western Australia State, will take about three weeks to complete.
